The massed ranks of the cast of Bugsy Malone spilled out of the Wyvern Theatre, and flashed mobbed Wharf Green, to rehearse the finale of their Summer Youth Project production. A lorry caused traffic chaos in Swindon as it became stuck under one of the town’s bridges. The articulated lorry carrying deodorant got stuck under the Wootton Bassett Road bridge at about 2:30.

Shortly before midnight on Thursday 26th June 2014, a man was found dead next to a path between Rodbourne and Swindon town centre.
