Thamesdown Transport took over the front of STEAM Museum to name four buses as the famous Swindon hooter sounded. The buses carried the destination board of Swindon 175. The naming was part of the Swindon 175 celebrations. Gallery.

Students at Swindon’s New College let imagination take over for the fashion show, with some hair raising exhibits. One even donating their locks to The Little Princess Trust. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

A 2-8-0 tank engine made in Swindon has returned home for the first time for a guest running on the Swindon & Cricklade Railway. Even on an emergency the Wiltshire Air Ambulance draws a crowd. This medical emergency was in Penhill Swindon and members of the public turned out to look over the Bell 429 helicopter. The service is funded by the public and in January 2015 started operating a dedicated air ambulance which means they must raise £3.25m
