New Swindon station opens.
It may only small and situated in a woodland setting, but Swindon’s newest extension to its rail network is perfectly formed, and is open for business. Almost 400 people queued for hours outside Waterstone’s in the Brunel Centre to to get their hands on the new Harry Potter book the Cursed Child. One lade even traveled from London because Swindon was open at Midnight. Gallery:

Lydiard House puts on a very REVED up show.
The attraction with Lydiard House is its ability to transform. One moment a stately home the next a theatre, and then; well, a sort of car pound. I think a car pound is a bit of a miss representation, more a retro and modern car show room. Autofest hits the lawns of the stately home

Europe’s strongest man pulls in the crowd.
Laurence Shahlaei, who won the Europe’s strongest man competition recently, pulled in the crowds at Tesco in Ocotal Way when they put on a Fun Day, despite some typical British summer weather.
