Prince George makes first visit to RIAT.

The Biggest military air show in the world attracts a royal visit every year (hence the Royal in Royal International Air Tattoo), but this year the biggest royal family landed at Fairford.

PRINCE WILLIAM, CATHRINE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE AND PRINCE GEORGE, on his first official visit, met with the Air Cadets, The Red Arrows and visited a Squirrel helicopter, the model of helicopter that Prince William trained on while in the RAF.

Later in the day the royal party paid a visit to the Australian 33 Squadron aircraft on static display.

“We only had about 30 minutes notice”, said one of the crew “but it was a great privilege to show Prince George around the cockpit”.
