A German V2 rocket leaves the Science Museum store at Wroughton destined for the Science Museum in London. Some protesters along the route thought it was one of the Cruse Missiles which at the time were based at Greenham Common. Selection from the Archive:
A 2-8-0 tank engine made in Swindon has returned home for the first time for a guest running on the Swindon & Cricklade Railway.
