Calyx features two speakers at the Swindon Festival of Literature 2012:
John Simpson and Professor Gordon Turnbull.
Gordon has local connections and in early 1990’s I photographed him for the Guardian, while he was stationed at the RAF Wroughton Hospital. Gordon was then working with John McCarthy after his return from Lebanon where he was held hostage for over 5 years.
We also covered John McCarthy‘s return to RAF Lyneham as well as that of Terry Waite.
