Excalibur Communications’ world record-breaking attempt for the number of participants in a Swiss Ball exercise class has raised over £5,000 for three local charities, chosen by the Younite Foundation.

Over 400 people packed into Swindon’s David Lloyd Club for the event, each generously making a donation to take part, with Younite (a registered charity that provides support and life changing opportunities for local children and young adults) nominating three good causes.

The four-figure sum will go to help Jessie May, a Children’s Hospice at Home that supports 22 local children and their families.  Also benefitting is Bios, a Swindon-based youth work project, as well as Melon Mission, an outreach project supported by Swindon volunteers helping to build a school for orphans and destitute children.

“Everyone had a great time in what was a terrific turnout by the people of Swindon”, said Excalibur’s CEO, James Phipps.

“Whilst it’s great to try and set records, this second event brings the total raised to more than £15,000.  This goes such a long way to helping people that really need some support, which in many cases can be life changing”.
