All set for a blooming brilliant London 2012 Olympics in Swindon

 

A Swindon roundabout is showcasing a floral display of the Olympic

rings to drive forward the vibrant spirit of the London 2012 Olympic

and Paralympic Games.

Torchbearer Damien Davis Plants the last flowers on the Olympic Roundabout at Transfer Bridges.

 

Torchbearer Damien Davis, an IT Manager from Cricklade who is taking the torch through Ludgershall in July said: “I think it’s a fantastic idea to have the rings brightening up one of our roundabouts.

When the Torch came to Swindon it was such a special day for the town. Now
I’m really looking forward to the excitement of the Games.

Damien Davies is noted for his failed attempt to climb the three highest peaks, but in Scotland went up the wrong one. He has also raised more than £11,000 for Leukaemia And Lymphoma Research in memory of his friend Wayne Wilson, who lost his battle with leukaemia last year.
