Still Crazy a 1998 British comedy film directed by Brian Gibson (his last film prior to his death in 2004) was filmed in the village of Avebury, using the Red Lion as the focal point.
Strange Fruit, a fictional rock band of the 1970s who reformed after a gap of 20 years, are persuaded to return to the same venue where they played their last show, for a reunion gig.
